Carved from a single piece of cherry gifted by a retired carver, this 17-inch vessel channels the quiet force of water meeting land. Its long, canoe-like silhouette floats somewhere between sculptural form and functional presence, with a textured underside that evokes river pebbles shaped by time. Each gouge mark—intentionally irregular—is a fingerprint of process, a meditation in motion.
The surface has been smoothed to a gentle sheen, inviting touch, reflection, and maybe the occasional wild pear. Best displayed somewhere it can breathe.
