Sculptural Vessel - Waterline
Carved from silver maple rescued from the roadside in St. Vital, this 13-inch sculptural bowl leans fully into the wabi-sabi tradition. Its rim undulates in soft waves, echoing the lines of wind-shaped dunes or slow-moving water.
A natural crack formed as the wood dried and instead of discarding it, I poured turquoise resin through it. Not to cover it up, but to let it speak. Now it runs like a quiet river through pale grain, marking a moment of transformation.
This piece is about motion, healing, and subtle tension … still, but never static.
A sculptural vessel.
A functional artwork.
A conversation piece for any space.
