Twist Series - Quiet Ascension
Carved from the same St. Boniface tree as “Ascension”, this applewood was also gifted by a tree surgeon… a piece of wood offered, not taken. It carries the same upward motion as its sibling, but here, the reach is gentler. Less a tower, more a prayer.
The twist is smooth, quiet, and unforced. Like a flame breathing in, or a figure leaning into grace. The grain moves with it, wrapping the form in soft ribbons of light and warmth. A small dark knot grounds the piece at its base, a reminder of origin and foundation.
It’s a piece about rising without urgency.
About strength in softness.
