Flame Series - The Early Worm

$335.00

This sculpture was carved from Russian Olive salvaged in Winnipeg’s North End. A tree hollowed by ants and headed for the firewood pile. Part of The Flame Series, it captures what the blaze would’ve erased: movement, memory, and mischief.

The form twists with intention… reaching, arcing, alive. It suggests a bird in motion, poised to strike… and at the same time, the worm it seeks. Predator and prey. Action and offering. Both.

The grain follows the shape like thought following impulse: warm, instinctive, unplanned.

It’s a piece about paradox. About hunger, timing, and the blur between becoming and being eaten.

Russian Olive. 12 Inches.
