Flame Series - Twist of Fate
Carved from a crab apple tree rescued from an acreage near Île-des-Chênes, this sculpture is part of The Flame Series, a collection born from wood that came close to being lost.
This piece rises in a double twist. Two motions spiraling upward, reaching, and curling away. There’s a sense of tension and tenderness in the form… like two flames entwined, or a duet unfolding in silence. The grain surges along the curves like a current. It’s wild, but balanced. Fierce, but fluid.
It speaks to the quiet defiance of becoming, in spite of what was planned.
